Our Daily Rituals for Health and Well-Being

No Meat Athlete is all about eating and running, but I believe that it’s the habits I keep while not eating or running that contribute most to my well-being.

In today’s episode, Doug and I decided to mix things up by avoiding the typical topics of running and a plant-based diet, and instead we discuss the daily rituals we practice that keep us healthy. Morning routines, work habits, bad habits, we dive into it all.

Here’s what we talk about in this episode:

  • Morning routines that kick the day off right
  • Healthy habits that keep the mind in check
  • Creating a workspace that removes distractions
  • Unhealthy habits we’re glad we kicked
  • Useful tools for creating healthy rituals

  1. Matt & Doug, Great Podcast! I am all about the morning ritual!

    Here is my morning ritual:
    * Wake up daily around 5:00 a.m. with no alarm clock. It’s easy to program your subconscious mind the night before to wake up at a certain time.
    * Drink a large glass of water with a tablespoon of Himalayan Salt Brine Mix.
    * Meditate for 15 minutes
    * Write a few lines in my gratitude journal
    * Read (Self Help or Inspirational Book) for around 15 – 30 minutes
    * Exercise outdoor or indoor depending on the weather for 45 minutes to 1 hour
    * Shower and dress for success
    * Create To Do List
    * Production mode for the rest of the day
