YOU KNOW WHICH FOODS YOU SHOULD EAT ... THE QUESTION IS, WILL YOU ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT?
Here’s Exactly How to Eat — Meal by Meal — to Guarantee You Give Your Body those 7 Amazing Foods (and a lot of Other Great Ones, Too)... Every. Single. Day.

Are you tired of learning that a certain food has tremendous health benefits, making a mental note to eat more of it … and then never actually doing anything about it?

You’re not alone. Every day we’re bombarded with so many different opinions about what’s healthy, it’s hard to stay focused on one approach long enough to make a difference in your health, weight, and energy levels.

A valid excuse, sure. But unfortunately, excuses don’t mean anything to your body.

You can tell yourself that one day you’ll get your diet on track, eating almost exclusively foods that are proven to help massively reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer, and lots of other common killers, but …
FACT: ONLY 8% OF PEOPLE EVER FOLLOW THROUGH ON THE CHANGES THEY WANT TO MAKE
And this 8% figure isn’t something I made up…

It’s not that easy to find data about how successful people are changing their habits, in general. But one stat is easy to find, and it happens to be about a time of year when people are pretty darn motivated to make changes: New Year’s.

Yep, that’s where 8% comes from. Research from the University of Scranton suggests that only 8% of people who set resolutions actually make the changes they intend to.

And keep in mind, that’s 8% of the people who are motivated enough to set resolutions in the first place … which happens to be less than half the population (only 42% set resolutions at all).

So let’s say you learn about a new food, or a bunch of a foods that you believe will truly make a difference – to your health in the long term, and your energy and waistline in the short term. You’re motivated enough to make a change … let’s say you’re as excited as someone in that motivated minority who sets resolutions feels on New Year’s.

The good news: Congratulations, you’re pretty motivated to make a change to your diet!

The bad news: You’ve still got a 92% chance of failing to actually do it.
NOW DO YOU SEE WHY OUR CULTURE IS SO UNHEALTHY?
This is human nature. You didn’t do anything wrong…

But there are a lot of people in this world who are highly paid to convince you – through TV ads, product displays, and a lot of far dirtier tricks – to eat the stuff that, over time, will destroy your health.

The world isn’t set up for us to be healthy, so if you want to be as healthy as you know you deserve to be, you’ve got to do something to “jump the tracks,” rather than just coasting along, eating whatever Big Food decides it wants you to eat.

So how do you get yourself to follow through on eating the foods you know you should (and avoiding the ones you shouldn’t)?

Instead of saying “I’ll try to work these foods into the meals I usually eat,” what if you just made the commitment that you’re going to eat this way – all the way – for a week?

Well, that’s exactly what this page is all about…
THE 7-DAY KICKSTART PLAN FOR MAKING SURE YOU GET THOSE ALL 7 OF THOSE AMAZING FOODS EVERY DAY
As someone whose job it is to help people eat better, move better, and feel better, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about and researching the best way to change habits.

In fact, I came up with this “7 Foods to Eat Every Day” idea as the basis for talks that I give at plant-based health events, precisely because what I observed at these events, time and again, was that lots of highly motivated people were walking away with a ton of information and inspiration … but no plan for actually starting.

After seeing how much the “7 Daily Foods” framework (and crucially, the three meals that make it easy) helped people to understand how to eat the best diet they could, I realized I could make it even easier to execute this at home.

So I got together with my friend, author, and plant-based nutritionist Sid Garza-Hillman, and asked him to help me craft a 7-day plan to help you feel what it’s like to build your diet around the best foods possible … with meals that are simple to make, and with all the planning already done for you.

When we were finished, we were left with a simple, easy-to-follow 7-day “Kickstart” plan, built around the 7 healthiest foods you can eat every day.
Here’s a sampling of what you get with this plan…

  • 7 days of meals, already planned for you – breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks – that ensure you eat these 7 incredible foods every day
  • A done-for-you shopping list, so you don’t have to spend any time planning
  • 14 of our favorite recipes that pack in the nutrition, taste great, and are easy to make
  • Minimal cooking time – breakfast and lunch come together in 5-10 minutes each, and dinners take around 30 minutes to make
  • BONUS #1: “9 Staple Recipes that Make It Way Easier to Be Vegan” ebook – a collection of the family-friendly recipes we use in my house to make dressings, sauces, and condiments that even our kids love
  • BONUS #2: My 46-minute live presentation on “The 7 Foods to Eat Every Day (and How to Make Sure You Do)” from Remedy Food Live Atlanta – a $24.99 value if you were to buy it from their Vimeo page – where you’ll learn…
  • My best tip for buying and prepare your greens so that they don’t go bad as soon as you get them home
  • The two mistakes tea drinkers make when brewing their tea (that cause them to miss out on loads of antioxidants)
  • How most people destroy essential enzymes in their cruciferous vegetables before they can produce most of their cancer-fighting compounds … and how you can make sure you prepare them right!
  • The berries to make sure you buy organic … and the ones where you can save your money
  • How to prepare onions and garlic for maximum nutritional benefit (and which onions to buy in the first place!)
  • How tofu and tempeh stack up compared to whole beans (hint: it’s pretty good news)
  • The household spice that helps you get 20 times the nutritional availability from your turmeric
  • Two things to avoid when buying canned beans

…and so much more.

Look, usually I’m all for the gradual, go-it-alone, small-step approach to making change – especially if you’re the type of person that works for.

But over time, I’ve become convinced that there’s incredible power in a very short (i.e., 7 days) burst of “just going for it.” That way, you’ve got a finish line to help you push through the cravings for your old foods. And the hope is that by the time you reach it, you’ve started to feel amazing and don’t want to stop!

But to go all-in, it’s important to have a plan. The risk of an all-at-once approach, even for just seven days, is that you’ll feel overwhelmed. Too much planning, too much uncertainty around shopping, too many meals that don’t turn out. Your willpower runs out, and you quit.

Personally, I think if you don’t have a plan that where the work is done for you, it’s better to just stick with one small step at a time. (Which will work, if you’re patient and you actually get yourself to take those small steps that are so easy to take, but also so easy to not take).

I mean it…

DON'T TRY AN ALL-IN APPROACH WITHOUT A PROVEN PLAN
You know the expression: “Don’t try to reinvent the wheel,” right?

The same applies here!

I’ve been an athlete and health enthusiast ever since I ran my first marathon in college, and in the past 15 years my diet has evolved in a dramatic way. From omnivore, to vegetarian, to vegan, to whole food plant-based … and finally (instead of just eating a random assortment of whole foods and hoping it all turns out alright) to deliberately building my diet around the best possible whole foods.

I’ll admit it, I’m a bit of a nut about creating systems that make healthy behaviors effortless. But there are worse obsessions, right? ;)

This system of eating – three main types of meals that make it easy to get not just whole foods, but the healthiest of whole foods – is one I created first for myself, to maximize my level of energy in the short term and do everything possible to protect myself against disease in the long term.

And now I’m making available to everyone, so you don’t have to go it alone!

Normally, access to the meal plans Sid and I created (in our Health Made Simple program) costs $97 per year, but for a very limited time we’re going to let you have instant access to this special Kickstart plan for just $27.

And it’s yours to keep, to repeat the week as many times as you want, as a matter of routine or whenever you need a refresh.

Yep … $27. But only for another:

You know what that means: You can have one of those fancy coffees at Starbucks or you can:

  • Commit to 7 days of the healthiest diet you’ve ever eaten (100% plant-based, of course)
  • Repeat or revisit this week as often as you want
  • Save time and avoid stress you’d otherwise spend planning meals
  • Avoid the food prep mistakes that destroy the nutrition in otherwise healthy foods
  • Eat as much as you want of the meals on the plan (and you’ll be surprised at how filling and delicious they are)
  • Have the confidence to cut through the conflicting food advice on the web and take action
  • Finally experience what it’s like to eat for maximum health and energy … and be equipped to keep it going once you’re done

"OMG! It is a godsend! You have cut through all the clutter and made it SO simple..."
Matt,

I wanted to write to you to tell you how wonderfully your 7-day Kickstart plan has worked for me.

I have always been drawn toward a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle but I have yet to find a way to make it stick. I have Celiac disease and am lactose intolerant and regardless of the method I’ve tried somehow I’ve always slipped back into my old unhealthy (and uncomfortable) ways, even though I always felt better when I gave up animal products and processed foods.

That was until I tried your 7-day Kickstart. OMG! It is a godsend! You have cut through all the clutter and made it SO simple (or “automatic” as you like to say) that I have been able to stick with it for 2 weeks and I have never felt better.

The plan, the staple recipes and 17 delicious recipes have become my go-to for inspiration and motivation.

Thank you SO much for all the time and effort you take to share your insights with people like me.
