Whole Wheat and Multigrain Products

  • When buying whole wheat products, make sure that the first ingredient is 100% whole wheat.  "Wheat flour" is not necessarily 100% whole wheat.  The labels on the front of the package mean very little.
  • The word "multigrain" on a food label means only that it contains more than one type of flour; it doesn't imply anything about nutrition or the use of whole grains.

Multigrain bread is healthier because the word mullti means alot. So it means lots of grains!!!
