Welcome to the No Meat Athlete "How to Follow Recipes" page! Over the past few years I've picked up lots of useful tips, probably from watching too many cooking shows, to make cooking faster and more enjoyable so I can do it almost every day and still have a life. Because, let's face it, if you're not cooking your own food, then you're not eating very well. But even cooking from recipes can be intimidating when you first start, and that's where I can help.
If you're new to cooking, then this page will save you TONS of time by describing how to buy and prepare common recipe ingredients. I sure wish I'd known all this when I started cooking. I'll continually update this page as I learn new tricks and remember old ones, so check back often and feel free to leave a comment with a favorite tip of your own.
