No, not a “quick-and-easy guide” to doing something we all know is anything but that.
You’re willing to work for it—in fact, if it didn’t take some serious sweat and determination, then everyone would do it, and it wouldn’t be such a meaningful challenge for you.
But you’re not looking for a one-size-fits-all approach, either.
The fact is, you’ve got different needs than probably 98% of the other runners you’ll line up with on race day: You’re going to train on your vegetarian or vegan diet.
While the other guides out there might give you a paragraph or two that applies to your particular diet, where they not-so-subtly suggest you make a few exceptions to make it easier to get your protein, you know that your diet doesn’t have to be a hurdle. You know that if you go about it the right way, the fact that you don’t eat meat can be an advantage.
You have the motivation. What you need now is guidance. That’s where I can help you.
The No Meat Athlete guide to your first marathon isn’t available just yet, but it will be later this month. Enter your email address below to receive updates (and a special price) when it’s released!
